Control System

Nimabel Aviation Services is proud to introduce it's newest refueler control system, called the NMB-CS. The new system takes the previous version that debuted at the NBAA 2008 show several steps further with a touch-screen display and interface and many new features. The interface is a 5.7”, 256-Color back-lit screen. The system can require a fueler to log-in with a user name and pass code to gain access to the truck's pumping system, as well as enter a tail number or flight number. During normal operation, the fueler can display the fueling pressure, differential pressure, flow rate and quantity dispensed (if meter is equipped with a pulse generator), or a “diagnostic” screen that will show an overview of the operating parameters of the truck such as interlock status and various system pressures. In the event of a slop fuel tank over-fill situation, a high level float with signal the NMB-CS, shut the pumping system down and display a warning message to inform the fueler that they need to drain the slop fuel tank. The system will also shut the pumping system down during a high differential pressure situation, and again display a warning message to inform the fueler. In either event, the fueler can acknowledge the event and continue fueling. However, if event trigger occurs again, it will once again shut the pumping system down.

A key benefit to the system, and an optional feature set, is remote communication with the NMB-CS. The NMB-CS supports wireless data transmission, cellular connections (either directly or with standard SMS text messaging) or direct Internet access with a modem or Cat5e connection. This can aid in supervisory checks of the trucks, downloading usage log files or trouble shooting help. The standard method of communicating with the NMB-CS is with a SD memory card or a RS-232 data cable.

Upgrading the system to future programs is as easy as connecting to the NMB-CS and uploading the latest revision of software. In the event of additional hardware features, the system is configured to be flexible and can have additional modules and sensors connected. This allows the customer to have the option to keep current with the ever evolving industry
